Tokyo ghoul

Tokyo ghoul

by Sui Ishida

In Tokyo there are some beings called ghouls who can only eat human flesh. They are stronger and have better senses than humans, it is also impossible to distinguish them from human, the only differences are their eyes that change color when they eat or when they activate their kagune, a muscle that they have on the back they use to hunt.
Ken Kaneki is an 18 year old human who one day meets a girl who frequents the cafeteria where he goes to read. Kaneki and the girl, Rize, have an appointment and, at night, as she accompanies her home, Rize shows her true self, she is a ghoul. She tries to kill Kaneki, but before she can do that, some construction beams fall and kill her, however Kaneki is also dying from the wound in her abdomen that has shattered several organs. Kaneki wakes up in the hospital where he discovers he has the organs of Rize, which causes that he can't eat anything because everything tastes disgusting.
From this moment Kaneki becomes a ghoul and has to learn to survive in a world where ghouls and members of the GCC (humans who hunt ghouls) want to kill him.
