Are you a Netflix user? Beware of this scam that affects all your customers

We can be talking about the scam of the year. A scam that has endangered the 110 million Netflix users, because of an email sent with a false account. The massive scam was launched this Sunday, November 5, with the mail sent to all customers of the streaming platform. The purpose of this email was to access the bank details of those who cheated on the deception. It all started with an issue in the alarming mail: "Your suspension notification", that is, "Notification of suspension". Obviously, many of the 110 million customers, frightened by the message, will have opened the mail to see what it said.

What he was saying was that his Netflix account had been canceled and that they had to access the attached link to restore it. If many had arrived until then, many others will have clicked on the link without thinking it could be false. In fact, the site it leads also gave an almost exact copy of the Netflix website.

Well, nothing, there are many users who have taken another step, reaching the next step of the scam, providing bank data to the alleged Netflix website that, in reality, is the target of the scammer. Netflix has reacted quickly and warned all its customers, but surely more than one has stung. In the end, there are 110 million people and, proportionally, with 1% having fallen, it means 1.1 million people. That is to say, the scam has been able to reach dramatic tints and millionaire figures.
