The
Vampire diaries:
The plot revolves around the
life of Elena, her friends and other inhabitants of a small town in
Virginia, called Mystic Falls. Elena Gilbert, is a teenager who fall
in love with two vampire brothers, Stefan Salvatore, and his brother
Damon Salvatore. Elena is identical to Katherine, the woman who
turned them into vampires and who played with the love they both felt
for her.
The Vampire Diaries was
released on The CW channel on September 10, 2009 with its first
season, and the last episode was aired on March 10, 2017 ending the
eighth and final season.
The Vampire Diaries has a
genre of fantasy, intrigue, dramatic comedy and youth drama.
Spin-off (The Originals):
The president of entertainment
at The CW, Dawn Ostroff has mentioned an idea of spin-off that could
happen in a few years. A spin-off aims to be in the development of
the line of autumn of 2011, but due to the commitment of Kevin
Williamson, with The Secret Circle has been put on hold. If created,
the series will focus on a group of researchers who investigate
paranormal activities.
In January 2013, it was
announced that Julie Plec, co-creator of the series, was developing a
possible spin-off entitled The Originals. The pilot of the series was
broadcast as a common episode of the fourth season of the series.

The Vampire Diaries initially
received mixed and negative reviews. Entertainment Weekly gave him an
A +, stating that the show is "signs of a welcome return to form
for writer and producer Kevin Williamson." They ended up saying
that "The vampire diaries promises us a fun season with a sharp
tongue." Metacritic gave the show the 90/100 point based on
critical comments. Its premiere in September 2009, had a series of
scores of 98.9 million viewers.
