Stranger things:
Stranger Things is an American
sci-fi series co-produced and distributed by Netflix, written and
directed by brothers Matt and Ross Duffer, with Shawn Levy as
executive producer. It debuted on the Netflix platform on July 15,
2016, with very good criticism from the specialized press, who
praised the interpretation, characterization, rhythm, atmosphere and
the clear homage to the Hollywood of the 80s; with clear references
to films by Steven Spielberg, John Carpenter, Stephen King, Rob
Reiner and George Lucas.
The story is set in Indiana's
Hawkins County during the eighties of the twentieth century, when a
twelve-year-old boy named Will mysteriously disappears. Soon after, a
girl, apparently fugitive and with telekinetic powers, meets Mike,
Dustin and Lucas, friends of Will, and helps them in the search for
it.
Synopsis:
The story starts on November
6, 1983, in the city of Hawkins, Indiana, when Will Byers, 12 years
old, after spending the day playing with his friends in Dungeons &
Dragons, a fantasy game, disappears mysteriously upon returning to
home. His mother, Joyce, desperate, begins the search for Will, while
police chief Hopper begins to investigate on his own. Shortly after
the disappearance of Will, a mysterious girl, Eleven, with strange
abilities appears in the house of Mike. But, in the development of
the investigation they will discover that not only will they have to
face a mysterious government organization, but sinister forces that
plan to kill everyone.
Stranger things has a science
fiction and dramatic genre, it deals with 2 seasons and 17 chapters
of approximately 45-50 minutes each.
