Hitler

Adolf Hitler was a German politician who was the leader of the Nazi Party , Chancellor of Germany from 1933 to 1945.
Hitler initiated World war II in Europe with the ivasion of Poland in September 1939, and was central to the holocuast.
The Great Depression provided a political opportunity for Hitler. Germans were ambivalent about the parlimentary republic, which faced challenges from right- and left-wing extremists. The moderate political parties were increasingly unable to stem the tide of extremism, and the German referendum of1929 helped to elevate Nazi ideology
Having achieved full control over the legislative and executive branches of government, Hitler and his allies began to suppress the remaining opposition. The Social Democratic Party was banned and its assets seized. While many trade union delegates were in Berlin for May Day activities, SA stormtroopers demolished union offices around the country. On 2 May 1933 all trade unions were forced to dissolve and their leaders were arrested.
