DID YOU KNOW THE CARROTS ARE BLUE?

THE CARROTS

Hello everybody! How are you? Today I'm going about of a very curious thing, about the carrots. The carrots haven't always been oranges! I will tell you what is due and its transformation process.

When we think of carrots, the color orange comes to mind, but tthis color has been adapted recently. It's color has changed according to the thousand of years. In each part of the world it was a different color.

I'm going to tell you first it's evolution: The oldest test shows that in Afghanistan the year 3000 BC were of a pure color on the outside and yellow on the inside.

Later when the Arabs traded it, it began to have the colors green, white, yellow and even black.

So why its it currently orange? It is due to the cultivation process in the Netherlands from the 16th century, therefore all modern varieties descend from  their four types an orange: The early half long, the late half long, the long oramge and the scarlet.
